Wow! The Powerful Pikachu have done lots in week 5 of this term.
The class have been focussing on using their Habits of Mind to help themselves with their learning. We are working very hard to support each other as a team in our learning and lead by example

Check out the highlights below!

Saturday 11 April

Today my Zinger Pinger ran 200 miles just to jump off the tallest tower in the whole wide, entire universe. He was going to jump into hot, boiling chocolate lava with 1 pretend anaconda and 2 real big, HUGE gummy bears. I was brave and shy because people will know that I came with him but in a car and he ran 200 miles without stopping because we wouldn't let him.

After that I was so FAMOUS!!!!! YAY

WALT: use our experiences to enhance our recount writing

On Thursday Week 5 the Powerful Pikachu, Laughing Llamas and Ninja Warrior Kids decided to do a rotation of education outside the classroom as our writing experience. It was lots of fun going on the spiderweb, playing basketball and doing a relay race. We hope to use our real life experiences to enhance our recount writing.

Having fun on the spiderweb

Jovahn and Poasa working together to enjoy their learning

Jovahn showing the class his awesome headstand moves!

Felicia, Lilly, Brooke, Sophie and Payton are Learning Forever at Rowandale! Enjoying some time outside of the classroom.

Tracy and Cortezz performing their bridges! That looks awesome ladies.

Tohoa taking an amazing shot! It makes it into the hoop. Well done Tohoa!

Tremayne and Alex coming into the finish line! These 2 boys used their habits to learn how to successfully complete a relay race.

We also have been learning how to play tennis on Thursday afternoons with Coach Chris. In week 5 we were lucky enough to have 2 sessions!

The class have been learning the basic rules of the game as well as the different ways of using the racket to hit the ball.

I am very impressed by their positive learning attitudes, with every class member giving it a try.

Our Mindful Winner this week is.....

Tupai for always having a positive learning attitude and working hard to adapt his work to match the focus of the lesson. Ka Pai!
